Dear Payroll Administrators,
The following is clarification around August pay for faculty outside the School of Medicine that have an 8/15 contract start date:
Those faculty who have elected to defer their pay (09/12, 10/12) will receive 50% of their monthly salary in August, the same as those faculty who have elected not to defer their pay (04/04, 09/09, 10/10). They will defer pay from September through April (or May if a 10 month faculty) and then receive a split pay with both salary and deferred pay in May (or June), and then receive deferral payouts that would be equal to their prior months’ pay in June, July, and August (assuming they don’t have a change in salary mid-contract in which case their salary and deferral payouts would increase/decrease according to the change).
