Welcome to the Payroll Department’s site for predoctoral fellows or trainees who receive their fellowship or training grant payment through the University of Pittsburgh’s payroll system! Here you will find some basic information about your payment.
For any payroll related questions or issues, you will need to reach out to your supervisor or department administrator first as all payroll actions are submitted and approved by your department. If your department is not able to answer your questions, please submit an inquiry. We will be happy to assist you!

Predoctoral fellows and trainees are paid monthly via direct deposit on the last business day of the month. View the monthly pay schedule for exact dates.

The University of Pittsburgh offers employee self-service for securely viewing your payslips and making changes to your address, direct deposit, and IRS Form W-4.
After your first day of work, we recommend that you login to employee self-service to verify the information you provided during the hiring process.

Payments for predoctoral fellows and training grant recipients are not reported on a Form W-2. For more information, refer to the year end information for predoctoral fellows, training grant recipients, and post doctoral scholars.
