Forms W-2 will be available online to those that opted in for the electronic version no later than January 31, 2024. A notification will be posted on the Payroll Department website and HR Client Services inquiry page once Forms W-2 are available. For those that did not elect to opt in, hard copy tax forms will be mailed to the address that was on file in Pitt Worx as of December 31, 2023. Please allow 2 weeks for delivery for paper forms after January 31, 2024.
If you have opted in, no further action is needed. New hires can opt in to receive an electronic Form W-2 beginning 5 days after their first pay date. For full instructions on how to opt in and consent to receive electronic Forms W-2, please visit the Payroll Department website.
Forms 1042-S for foreign national employees will be available online to those that opted in for the electronic version and hard copies will be mailed to employees no later than March 15, 2024.
The Payroll Department provides electronic duplicate Form W-2 documents for up to three years back. Visit our year-end page for additional information on obtaining prior year Forms W-2.
